The picturesque hills of San Giovanni, a few minutes drive from Calatafimi-Segesta offer a breathtaking setting to our Masterclass. You can choose to stay in one of our three houses surrounded by lush vegetation and equipped with all modern comforts. We are proud of the biodiversity that we have meticulously nurtured over the years. The results are everywhere to be seen and tasted. We grow organic fruits and vegetables, press our own exquisite extra virgin olive oil, made from a blend of local native varieties such as Biancolilla and Nocellara, while the local shepherd provides with fresh ricotta and sheep cheese.
San Giovanni Vecchio Farmhouse
San Giovanni Vecchio is in the heart of the hills of the Trapani countryside, in western Sicily, 3 Km from the town of Calatafimi and strategically located near several centres of cultural and natural interest. This sprawling stone farmhouse, its land and its rose-strewn garden have been in the family for generations. Lovingly restored stone by stone, it’s surrounded by 4 hectares of land partly dedicated to the cultivation of fruits such as citrus, olives, figs, prickly pears, plums, persimmons, medlars and many more as well as roses and tropical plants. The rest of the land is left untouched: olive and almond trees grow on the rolling gypsum rocks that emerge from the sloping ground. It’s a spacious, secluded and unspoiled rural retreat.
VIlla Egesta
Set amongst palms, vineyards, prickly pears, oranges and olive trees near the majestic Temple of Segesta and the SPA Terme Segestane, Egesta is a simple villa, a country house plus a separate summer house, with the kind of peace and quiet that inspires complete and total relaxation. Large private pool with bubble corner and swimming machine for summer leisure.

There are plenty of organic fruits (pears, figs, raisins, prickly pears, apples, pomegranates, oranges) in the property: collect as many you want! The main house has an open plan living room with kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room/kitchen leads directly onto a covered terrace with a hanging bed, dining table for 6, barbecue, wood oven, deckchairs. A 50 meters path brings to the summer house, with a double bedroom and a bathroom, and a little terrace over the rural panorama.
The Country House
Charmingly decorated and with marvellous views, the Country House articulates over two floors. On the ground floor there is the kitchen, the bath, the dining room with a big table and the large living room overlooking the village of Calatafimi-Segesta, here there are two sofas in front of a cozy fireplace. Going outside you will found a stone kitchen with bbq and oven.
The first floor has three bedrooms: the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and the other two, sharing an external bathroom, benefit from each having a private balcony. Both the broad panorama and the lavish surrounding garden with fruit trees, palms and aromatic herbs make this house the prefect location for a relaxed break.
