Vivienne Gamble
Vivienne Gamble is the Director of Stills Centre for Photography in Edinburgh. She took up the post in January 2025 and is currently shaping the programme that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stills in 2027.
She is also Co-Founder and Co-Director of Peckham 24 festival in South London. Peckham 24 began as a 24 hour pop-up exhibition during the second edition of Photo London in 2016, and has since grown into a major event renowned for supporting new talent and experimental approaches in contemporary photography. Since 2023, Vivienne has been working in partnership with the V&A to host the V&A Parasol Foundation Prize for Women in Photography at Peckham 24. This new Prize is an annual initiative dedicated to identifying, supporting and championing women artists working in the field of contemporary photography.
From 2015 to 2023 she ran her own gallery space, Seen Fifteen, also in Peckham. She holds an MA in the History and Theory of Photography from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London.
Simon Bainbridge
Simon Bainbridge is the former Editorial Director of British Journal of Photography and Head of Content at Magnum Photos. He is currently a freelance writer, editor, lecturer and picture researcher specialising in contemporary art and photography. Recent clients include Taschen, The Guardian, The Art Newspaper and University of Westminster.
Bainbridge has taught and assessed at universities and art colleges in the UK and Europe, and runs a workshop, Writing for Photographers, with Colin Pantall.
He has curated two exhibitions, Time & Motion Studies: New Documentary Photography Beyond the Decisive Moment, at Hereford Museum & Art Gallery, in 2011, featuring the work of Donald Weber, George Georgiou, Tim Hetherington, Vanessa Winship, Manuel Vasquez and Robbie Cooper; and Paper, Rock, Scissors: The Constructed Image in New British Photography at Flash Ford Festival, Toronto, in 2010, featuring Noemie Goodall, Julia Cockburn, Danny Treacy, Peter Ainsworth, Julia Curtin and Victoria Jenkins.
Bainbridge has judged or nominated for numerous prizes, most recently including Photography Grand Jury Prize at International Festival of Fashion, Photography and accessories - Hyères, the Prix Virginia and the Star Photobook Dummy Award.
Mimí Mollica
Mimí Mollica (Palermo, Italy 1975) is an award winning documentary photographer, editor and Associate Lecturer in Photojournalism at London Metropolitan University. Mimi’s work examines themes relating to identity, environment, migration, and the impacts of social and political change upon communities.
Mimi’s multi-awarded work has been widely featured in various prestigious publications ranging from The Guardian Weekend Magazine, FT Weekend Magazine, The New York Times Lens, Newsweek Japan, Sunday Times Magazine, Internazionale, C Photo, Granta, among many others.
Recent monographs include East London up Close (Hoxton Mini Press 2021) and Terra Nostra (Dewi Lewis Publishing 2017).
In 2015 Mimi founded the Offspring Photo Meet, a yearly festival of photography with portfolio reviews and an inclusive cultural program that features young emerging talents and established international artists.
