September Retreat Masterclass

  • Photography Retreat Masterclass SP14 Sicilia, 91013 Italy (map)

11th - 16th September 2018

Apply by July 15th 2018

Guest Expert - Ramon Pez

On co-ordinated arrival to Palermo airport the participants will be picked up in a group and brought to the farmhouse in San Giovanni Vecchio, about 40 minutes away. After settling in, we will give you a tour of the house and its facilities followed by, depending on the time you reach us, a welcoming lunch or dinner.

The following days will be busy with portfolio review sessions providing in-depth focus on each photographer's work, group discussion and presentations, guided tours off the beaten track to visit and photograph near-by places. And of course we’ll indulge in some free time, when the participants are invited to make use of the swimming pool, explore the surroundings and relax and savour the Sicilian country living.

At lunch and dinner we will be eating together as a big family taking this opportunity to extend our daily discussions on photography and just to simply share a bonding opportunity over some delicious and typically Sicilian food.

Our Guest Expert, the heavy-weight book designer Ramon Pez will join us from Thursday 13th when we will together work on editing, sequencing, design and approaching potential outlets for your story.

On our last day we will conclude our experience by wrapping up, pondering of possible outcomes with the promise to keep in touch for future follow-ups!

Slight changes of program are possible depending on the agreed time of arrival/departure of the group.
Breakfast will be a self-catering continental style selection of coffee, teas, bread, jams and marmalades, as well as milk and cereals.
In-house lunches and dinner will offer simple family-recipes meals, typically consisting of pasta, vegetables, meat and fish. Usually we rely on local and seasonal produce.

Local wine will be served with evening meals.
